"El Buen Tenedor" is an annual award created by Jorge Chanis Barahona in 2014, which aims to recognize the excellence of Panamanian gastronomy.
This year 2022, Meivis Ortiz from Mayamei Cacao was awarded this recognition, for her contribution of more than 20 years to the production of organic cocoa in the province of Bocas del Toro.
Thanks to "El Buen Tenedor" for this recognition. This is a reward for the efforts of thousands of producers who for decades have made this crop a way of life. Thank you very much Jorge for finding us and valuing our work.
